The Upland Public Library has a local history collection, which consists of books, oral history tapes, newspaper articles pertaining to people and subjects of interest to Upland's history, photographs and slides of historic Upland. Madonna of the trail
Twelve "Madonna of the Trail" statues mark the pioneers' trail across the United States. The Madonna in Upland signifies the end of the trail west (Bethesda, MD is the farthest east).
Packing House Workers
The citrus industry provided the economic backbone to the Inland Valley during the early 1900's. One of the largest packing houses was owned by the Upland Citrus Association.
Mule Car
In 1889 the mule drawn streetcar made daily trips on Euclid Ave in Ontario to 24th St. The mules rode on the rear platform for the trip down to Ontario.
Upland Inn (c. 1939)
Built in 1901 the Upland Inn, the hotel was a popular stopping off place for travelers between Los Angeles and points east.

Pacific Electric Railway (c. 1940)
View from Euclid Ave. and 9th St. The original Pacific Electric Railway line began operation in 1887 and ran from Euclid Ave. to the San Antonio Heights.
