You need an Upland Public Library card to access these databases. Password or Patron ID for all databases is your 14 digit Library Card number.
Old cards that start with PUPL will not work. Please go to the Library’s Checkout Desk for a new card.

- MasterFILE Premier
This database has full text for magazines, reference books, biographies, primary source documents as well as photos, maps and flags. Find information about general reference, business, health, education, general science and more.
- Student Research Center (MAS Ultra & Middle Search Plus)
MAS Ultra-Use this database for full-text articles from over 700 popular magazines as well as pamphlets, reference books, and primary source documents. This database is useful for state reports.
Middle Search Plus-Designed for students in grades 6 through 8, this contains full-text articles from popular middle school magazines, as well as biographies, historical essays and student pamphlets. Useful for state reports.
- Kids Search (Primary Search Plus)
Designed for elementary school students, this contains full text articles from popular elementary school magazines. There are also the Encyclopedia of Animals, the Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, and the American Heritage Children’s Dictionary.
- Literary Reference Center
A comprehensive database with author biographies, plot summaries, literary criticism, literary reference books, literary journals and magazines, book reviews, poems, short stories, classic books, author interviews, a citation tool, and literary glossary.
- History Reference Center
A full-text history database with historical reference works, historical documents, including speeches, presidential papers, Supreme Court decisions, biographies, timelines for all 50 states, historical photos, and maps.
- Health Source: Consumer Edition
A database with full-text consumer health articles, health pamphlets, reference books, drug information, and a medical dictionary.

Biography Resource Center
Provides in-depth and current biographical information on many past and present noteworthy figures from across eras, fields of interest and the globe.
- Opposing ViewPoints Resource Center
Provides viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, discussion about public policy and more. Good for debates and homework papers about social issues.
- Student Resource Center-Bronze
Includes articles, primary documents, biographies, essays and literary criticism.

- Search the online catalogs of other California libraries. If you don’t find an item at Upland Public Library, you may find that it’s available at another library nearby. No password required.
If you find what you need at another library, you can recommend it for library purchase using a Library computer or your own, or call our Reference Department (909) 931-4205. We may also be able to borrow it for you through our InterLibrary Loan Service. There is $2.50 fee for this service and you must have an Upland Library Card. Not all materials qualify for this service.
