Barnes & Noble Bookfair!

Support the Upland Public Library on Saturday, June 30th just by shopping at Barnes & Noble in Montclair! To get more information and download a voucher, click on the PDF link below. Upland residents, look for the bright yellow voucher in your June utility bill. The store requires the voucher in order for the Library to receive a percentage of the sale. Thanks for your support!

Attention, Digital Book Borrowers!

The pick-up period for OverDrive digital books has been extended from 48 hours to 72 hours, for the benefit of patrons who cannot check their email accounts over a weekend. Your checkout and hold lists should remain the same, you just have a little more time to pick up your requested title. Enjoy!

Congratulations to The Highlanders!

First-time contenders The Highlanders (Upland H.S. students Jay Castro, Jay Chen, David Evans, and Taylor Gilbertson) won the 6th annual Literacy Trivia Bee on Wednesday, April 18! The big winner of the night, though, is definitely the Upland Library Literacy Program, which raised $23,460.

A new version of audiobook has come to town! Starting February 15th, the Upland Public Library will be offering Playaways. No cassettes, CDs, players, or computers needed. Just plug in your earphones and listen to a great story! For more information, download the PDF file below.

Get Library Notices Via Email!

Sign up at the Library's Circulation Desk to receive email notices of lists of soon-to-be-due, overdue, or requested (on-hold) Library items that are ready for your pickup! If you opt for this new service, which starts June 12, the email notices will replace the postal paper notices. Save yourself some time and the Library some money by signing up for email notification.

TumbleBooks For Kids!

TumbleBooks are now available from our web site! Help your child enjoy a lifetime of reading.

TumbleBook Library is an online collection of animated, talking picture books, which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book, which you can read or have read to you.

CA Library Catalog

The Upland Public Library just got a whole lot bigger thanks to the NEW California Library Catalog! Logon Anytime, Anyplace! You can now go online and find books, CDs, DVDs, maps,government documents and more in libraries across California.

If you find what you're looking for at another library, just give our Reference Department a call at (909) 931-4205 and we may be able to borrow it for you through our Interlibrary Loan* service.
*There is a $2.50 fee for InterLibrary Loan and you must have an Upland Library Card. Not all materials qualify for this service.

We have added Literary Reference Center, History Reference Center, and Health Source from EBSCO. We also have several other databases for magazine and newspaper articles.

Ready Set Read Programs

Babies at San Antonio Community Hospital are receiving books and their parents are learning about the importance of reading and the role libraries can play in their children’s lives through the Ready Set Read program. This program is a cooperative venture with San Antonio Community Hospital, the Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario and San Bernardino County Libraries and local donors.
