- Harvey Mudd College
-
Harvey Mudd College was founded in 1955 by a committee of the Claremont Colleges consortium in cooperation with the family of Harvey S. Mudd, a mining engineer and co-founder of one of the richest copper mines in the world, Cyprus Mines. Although Harvey Mudd died shortly before the college was established in 1955, the Mudd family went forward with plans to make this important institution a reality. Designed to overcome many of the shortcomings of traditional, narrow technical training, HMC has become a leader in science, mathematics and engineering education. Our mission is to educate undergraduate men and women in a demanding academic setting, focusing on mathematics, science and engineering and to provide a rich background in the humanities and social sciences.

- Pitzer College
-
Pitzer College — a private, undergraduate, coeducational college of the liberal arts and sciences — is consistently ranked among the best such colleges in the country. Located in Claremont, California, a city about 35 miles east of Los Angeles, Pitzer is an intimate college that is a member of The Claremont Colleges consortium. As a member of the consortium, the College benefits from the shared resources of seven colleges. Blending classroom instruction with fieldwork, Pitzer engages a student's mind, heart and spirit by integrating educational resources on campus, abroad and in the local community.
Pitzer offers a curriculum that spans more than 40 major fields and focuses on interdisciplinary, intercultural education with an emphasis on social responsibility and community service. Founded in 1963, Pitzer College offers a comprehensive curriculum in the arts, humanities, sciences and social sciences leading to the bachelor of arts degree. Enrolling about 950 men and women, Pitzer is part of a unique educational environment known collectively as The Claremont Colleges. Seven educational institutions now constitute The Claremont Colleges: Pomona College, founded in 1887; Claremont Graduate University, 1925; Scripps College, 1926: Claremont McKenna College, 1946; Harvey Mudd College, 1955; Pitzer College, 1963; and the Keck Graduate Institute for Applied Life Sciences, 1997.
Within The Claremont Colleges, Pitzer's educational philosophy is singular. In keeping with its 1960s heritage, Pitzer strives to enhance individual growth while building community. Students create their own academic programs in close collaboration with faculty advisers. There are no lists of requirements to be checked off; rather, students are guided by a unique set of Educational Objectives. One of these encourages students to become involved in some kind of community service-learning activity.
Pitzer College celebrates cultural diversity and intercultural understanding. Students of ethnically diverse backgrounds come from all parts of the United States, as well as from nearly 20 other countries. In addition to learning from one another, students are encouraged to participate in one of Pitzer's External Studies programs. Finally, Pitzer challenges students to develop a set of courses that will examine some issue from the perspective of at least two cultures and two disciplines. Intercultural and interdisciplinary learning are highly valued at Pitzer. Students are encouraged to take advantage of these programs as well as many other Claremont resources that enrich and strengthen their appreciation of global diversity.

Scripps emphasizes a challenging core curriculum based on interdisciplinary humanistic studies, combined with rigorous training in the disciplines, as the best possible foundation for any goals a woman may pursue. The interdisciplinary emphasis of the curriculum has always been a hallmark of a Scripps education. - Claremont College Graduate School
-
CGU is like no other graduate-level university in the nation. Founded in 1925, Claremont Graduate University is an independent institution devoted entirely to graduate study.
The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching has classified CGU as a Comprehensive Doctoral/no medical or veterinary. On our 19-acre, tree-lined campus in Claremont, 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, our eight academic schools and one independent department award master's and doctoral degrees in 22 disciplines. Enrollment is limited and classes are small, so you receive the attention you need.
As a member of The Claremont Colleges, a consortium of seven independent institutions, CGU is able to offer a greater breadth of faculty and campus resources than is typical of a university with 2,000 students. At CGU, students are encouraged to pursue personal academic interests and research agendas even when they transcend the boundaries between individual departments.

- Cooper Regional History Museum
-
The Cooper Regional History Museum is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history and culture of the communities of Upland, Ontario, Montclair, Mt. Baldy, and Rancho Cucamonga from 1880 to the present day. Once housed at the Cultural Center, it moved to Upland's historic Town Center in April 1998.
Its new home is the Ontario-Cucamonga Fruit Exchange, an Art Modern office built in 1937. The O.K. Fruit Exchange, however, dates back to 1897 when it was formed to coordinate the sales of oranges, lemons, and grapefruit from a dozen local packing houses. When the Exchange closed in the 1960s, the building was used as offices by the West End Board of Realtors and several local attorneys and accountants. Sixty years later it was entirely rehabilitated to become the Cooper Regional History Museum.
