The Smartest Card

The Smartest Card you can get is an Upland Public Library card -- it's the key to getting things done, at no or little cost, on your own time, at your own convenience.

With an Upland Public Library card, patrons may check their library accounts from a CITRUS workstation or a personal computer, search for books or articles, ask questions, even check out (digital) books, without leaving home, school, or office. Most of these services are available after hours or on your own inside the Library.

Renewals

If you don't have time to wait in line at the Circulation Desk, you've got several options, and you'll need to have your library card handy for all three:

  • Renew your checkouts by the due date at one of the CITRUS Catalog stations.
  • Renew online by the due date from your computer at home, office, or school.
  • Before or after the due date, call (909) 931-4220. Voicemail is available after hours, but please leave the name of the cardholder, the library card number, and a phone number where we may reach you during the day.

You can usually have up to two renewals per item, as long as no one else has requested it.

Self Checkout

If you'd rather not stand in line at the Circulation Desk, then you can scan your own library card and books at the Self-Checkout machine on the Mezzanine Level. Library cards must be in good standing; you can update your account at the Circulation Desk.
