Journeys In Computing - European Vacation II: ASI 228

We will continue on to Paris, the next stop on our virtual European vacation. After taking a YouTube elevator ride to the top, we will view all of Paris from the upper observation deck of the Eiffel Tower, and take more exciting pictures from within Google Earth. Working with Picassa, a free graphics program, we will enhance those photos, adding special effects and creating a pho-tomontage. After signing up for a free Gmail account, we will create an address book from which to send emails and vacation pictures to friends. We will also engage in live Gmail chat. Using Microsoft PowerPoint 2007, we will create a colorful, animated photo album. Using Microsoft Outlook 2007, we will create a personal calendar displaying our vacation itinerary. European Vacation I is intended for those who have already taken European Vacation II or have some basic computer experience. Instructor: Bill Napoli
