Kid's Swap Meet
Time: 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Location: Magnolia Park, 651 W. 15th Street, Upland
Description: Yep, it's that time of the year again! Kids (ages 5-12 years old), clean out your closets, drawers, under your beds and get your old (but still in good condition) games and toys together and LET'S MAKE SOME MONEY!!! Pre-registration is required as space is limited for your 10X10 foot space. To register, visit us under the Youth Course section, phone the office or stop by Magnolia Recreation Center prior to August 11th to make sure your spot it reserved. There is a fee of $5.00 per child. *Please note, only hand-crafted items may be sold if crafted by children and no food or beverage may be sold.

This community event spotlights businesses and organization s in the City of Upland. Tour de Foothills

Location: Memorial Park, Upland
Description: The Tour de Foothills is the prmier Inland Valley cycling event, drawing participants from throughout the southwest. New to this year's event is the Highlander Century route which will provide an additional challenge for strong riders. The Metric Century and Half Metric Century rides, wind around the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains and into the Inland Empire. Both courses begin and end at Memorial Park in Upland. There are rest and water stops along the way with lunch following.

Deadline for early registration is October 31, 2010.

Check-In at 6:00 a.m.
Century and Metric Century rides start at 7:00 a.m. / Half Metric Century ride starts at 9:00 a.m.

Post ride festivities include: Lunch, raffle, drawings, music, and vendor booths.

2010 Summer Aquatics Program

Location: Upland High School Pool, 565 W. 11th St., Upland
Description: 2010 Summer Aquatics:

Stay cool and make a SPLASH with the Upland Recreation and Community Services Division while learning how to swim and/or improve your skills!

All classes are held at the Upland High School swimming pool located at 565 W. 11th Street (Adjacent to the gymnasium.)

Upland residents may register on Saturday, May 22, 2010.

Open registration will begin on Saturday, June 5, 2010.

**Registration will be taken at the pool Monday through Friday from 9:15 am-1:00 pm beginning June 14th.**

**Registration will not be taken by phone, by internet, by mail or by online registration.**

2010 Movies & Concerts At Magnolia Park
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Magnolia Park, 651 W. 15th Street, Upland
Description: 2010 Movies and Concerts at Magnolia Park will begin on Wednesday, July 14 and continue through until Wednesday, August 18. Concerts begin each evening at 7:00 p.m. followed by the movies at approximately 8:45 p.m. Bring your blankets or low lawn chairs and come join us under the stars for an evening of great music and movies! All special events will begin at 7:00 p.m. and are FREE except the Kid's Swap Meet. A snack bar will be available to purchase candy, sodas, popcorn, pizza, hot dogs, nachos and more. All proceeds are used to support this event. Please see the attached flyer for schedule. Concerts & Movies In The Park are sponsored by Upland-Foothill Kiwanis. Kids Special Events are sponsored by Public Works-Water Education and Conservation & The City of Upland Recycling Division.
